On December 12th, the Crew of Zhanshen Six, the WCE mission to Mars, took time off from their exploration of the planet, to celebrate Frank Sinatra’s Birthday, by holding a party which was taped to be part of a TV special which will be broadcast on Christmas Eve in the WCE.
During the party, Martian module pilot and Wuxi China Expatdom Royal Air Force Commander Gregory Peck performed a scene from a Man with the Golden Arm. As well, command module pilot and Wuxi China Expatdom Royal Navy Commander Lloyd Bridges performed a dance number with bikini-clad Martian women; and Zhanshen Six Chief Engineer and Co-Manager of Gambay’s Pub Fred Minkleman set up a impromptu bar and brought out his case of Jack Daniels Whiskey which he had saved specifically for that occasion.
The grand finale of the Martian Sinatra Birthday Celebration featured Wuxi China Expatdom Minister of Colonies and the President of the Wuxi China Expatdom Film Appreciation Society, Zhanshen Six Commander Archduke Sir Harry Moore performing a duet with his wife the Archduchess Mrs. Miss Moneypenny. Together the couple, accompanied by the driver of the Zhanshen Six Martian Cruiser and Wuxi China Expatdom Royal Mounted Police Squad Commander Chief Inspector Harry Callahan playing mandolin, sang the song Something Stupid made famous by Frank & Nancy Sinatra. For an encore, the trio performed Fly Me to the Moon, but changed the word "Moon" to "Mars" to the delight of the million Martians who came to the party.
